St. Paul’s Walking Group welcomes you to join us on a walk.

Meet 8.45am at Scrivener Dam Car Park for a 9am start. Initially we head south along the Molonglo River, then across a ford. This takes us on a meandering path through a forest eventually coming out at an underpass into the Arboretum. We walk through many different and identifiable tree species on our way to the Village Centre where we will stop, after about 1.5 hours, for coffee/tea.

Departing the Centre the walk continues along Cork Oak Road, through the Cork Oak Forest and along paths to the Western Lake. We then walk back to Scrivener Dam, pausing for a look around the National Rock Garden. We arrive back at our cars around 12.30 to 12.45pm.

The walk does have a couple of grassed hills in the arboretum section. Water and walking sticks are advised – there are one or two short downhill rocky parts. This circular walk, through bushland, probably some unexplored Arboretum territory, has panoramic views over Canberra.

Organiser is Keith Skamp who can be contacted on 0419 122 503 or email.
