St Paul’s Fête

St Paul’s Fete is on Saturday 4th November.

See Rod King (mob 0411093887) about stalls and preparing jams, garden plants, craft items, etc.

In particular we need back-up help for Rod who will be away mid September to late October.

Bible studies

Tuesday at 9:30am-10:30am and 6:30pm-7:30pm.

The study is on the lectionary readings for the coming Sunday.

Please contact Kelvin if you would like to join one of the groups or if you have any queries.

Sidespeople for 10am

We need two people to assist with sidespeople duties on the fifth Sunday of the month.

This happens only four times a year.

If you are willing to assist in this way please contact the office.

Trading Table

Thanks to your very generous support, we raised $893.60 last Sunday.

Many wonderful cooks donated their time and skills and the items made by talented knitters and sewers were also very well received.

The funds raised will go towards after school tuition for refugee and migrant children.

The Quilt Raffle

A beautiful quilt, made by Beth Lee and Eileen Sykes, is being raffled by the Refugee Support Team to raise funds to support refugees in our community.

The design features Australian native flowers.

Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. The quilt will be on display at St Paul’s so don’t miss it!

For more information please contact Catherine Böhm on 0421030954 or email.

Tickets on sale from Sunday 30th July until Sunday 27th August.

Igatur Nos Concert

6th August, our director of music Matthew Stuckings will conduct Igitur Nos Chamber Choir in a free concert at the High Court at 1:30pm, featuring works by Monteverdi, Stanford, Parry, Gjeilo, and Australian composers Joseph Twist, David Drury and Penelope Thwaites. Parish support

Parish Council welcomes our new parishioners and thanks them for their support of the parish. Financial support is always welcome, and Parish Council suggest that the most efficient way to donate to the parish is that you set up a direct debit arrangement where your offering is transferred automatically to our bank.

Details needed to to this are available from the Parish Office (email).

Giving in this way assists the parish in budgeting income and planning expenditure.

Support to ordination candidate

Parish Council has agreed to support a needy ordination candidate, Bob Slockee. Bob is an Aboriginal man who is developing a ministry among young Aboriginal men to connect the Gospel with Aboriginal culture.

Donations are sought to support Bob. Please place them in an envelope marked “Bob Slockee support” and put it in the collection plate.

Trading Table

Sunday 23rd July. Donations of cakes, biscuits, jams, chutneys would be most welcome.

Please come and support one of the outreach programs of our parish which raises funds towards an after school coaching program for refugees and migrants in Canberra.

See Catherine Böhm for further information and what you can do to help.
